Gaza is a Palestinian city in the Gaza Strip.
The village of Blaenannerch is situated 3 miles inland from the coastal village of Aberporth on the West Wales Heritage Coastline.

RAF Station Aberporth, which was situated in the village of Blaenannerch, was, until 1990, one of two local sites used as a missile range that stretched out for some miles into Cardigan Bay. This Danger Area still exists and is known as Danger Area D201. It has recently been extended.

Since the RAF left, the camp at Blaenannerch (now recreated as ParcAberporth, and owned by the Welsh Assembly Government) has been used as an operational test and evaluation centre for unmanned aerial vehicles - or drones.

The drones, which are tested at ParcAberporth and fly over the village of Blaenannerch, are designed in Israel and developed in conjunction with Israeli Aerospace Industries.

Gaza / Blaenannerch is a compelling piece of 'dance/theatre'. Set against Philip Glass's haunting fifth string quartet, its strong, clear narrative frames a series of powerful dance pieces which reflect both the emotional and thematic content.

Dinas ym Mhalesteina yw Gaza, a leolir ar Lain Gaza.
Pentref yw Blaenannerch, a leolir 3 milltir o'r môr ger pentref Aberporth sydd ar Arfordir Treftadaeth Gorllewin Cymru.

Tan 1990 'roedd Gorsaf Awyrlu Aberporth, sydd ym mhentref Blaenannerch, yn un o ddau leoliad cyfagos a ddefnyddiwyd fel ardal i arbrofi â thaflegrau, gan ymestyn rai milltiroedd i'r môr ym Mae Aberteifi. Mae'r Ardal Beryglus hon yn bodoli o hyd. Fe'i hadnabyddir fel 'Danger Area D201', ac yn ddiweddar cafodd ei ehangu.

Ers i'r RAF adael defnyddiwyd y gwersyll ym Mlaenannerch (sydd erbyn hyn wedi ei ail-greu fel ParcAberporth, ac yn nwylo Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru), fel canolfan brawf i weithredu a gwerthuso cerbydau awyr di-griw – neu dronau.

Mae'r dronau, sy'n cael eu rhoi ar brawf ym MharcAberporth, yn hedfan dros bentref Blaenannerch. Cawsant eu cynllunio yn Israel ac maent wedi eu datblygu ar y cyd â Diwydiant Awyrofod Israel.

Darn o theatr/dawns pwerus yw Gaza/Blaenannerch a gyflwynir i gerddoriaeth hudolus Phillip Glass, sef y pumed darn i bedwarawd llinynnol. Mae'r naratif clir, cyhyrog yn gosod ffrâm ar gyfer cyfres o ddawnsfeydd grymus sy'n adlewyrchu'r cynnwys emosiynol a thematig.

“Research as performance is a hard spot to hit, but Gaza/Blaenannerch is as much dark enchantment as it is topical or political project, as personally searching and honest as it is sharply observed.”
